From Main Street Takoma:
“Laurel Leaf, a retail destination in Takoma Park Maryland, will open on March 15. The shop is a collaboration between three small businesses – HouseMouse Books & Vintage, indigro plant design, and Cheeky’s Vintage – who have come together to create a unique space in the heart of Takoma.

Laurel Leaf is a lush, inviting, and stylish destination, offering a thoughtfully curated collection of plants, used books, as well as furniture and décor.

The shop specializes in mid-century modern furnishings including furniture, home decor, lighting, bar and dinnerware, art, and more. The used book collection is thoughtfully curated, sustainably sourced, and affordably priced, and features special collections on Nature, Folklore, Spirituality, and Local History. Finally, the shop is stocked with an array of house plants along with a selection of local and handmade pottery, offered with plant design services, repotting support, and a playful plant bar complete with vessels, plants and accents for inspiration. All of these elements are brought together in a wonderful new space that is integrated, inviting and charming.
In addition to its retail offerings, Laurel Leaf will also host a variety of engaging events, including plant workshops, HouseMouse’s immersive Escape the Bookshop experience, and more.
Shop hours will be:
Sunday: 10am-4pm
Monday: Closed
Tuesday- Thursday: 11am-6pm
Friday- Saturday: 11am-7pm
