“Someone drove in to the potomac off the GW Parkway. They’ve been rescued, 1 person in the car”
MPD reported:
“Our divers assisted @usparkpolicepio and @dcfireems in this call in the Potomac River off the GW Parkway tonight. We’ve confirmed there are no further occupants in the submerged vehicle.”
DC Fire and EMS reported:
“Vehicle in water Potomac River Va. shoreline between 14th St & Memorial Bridge. Vehicle submerged. 1 adult female clinging to vehicle assisted to shore by @usparkpolicepio with throw bag. @DCPoliceDept diver confirms no other occupants. Patient transported for further evaluation.”
