“Dear PoPville,
I just saw an ambulance get stuck in the ice on my street (in Brightwood, Aspen and 13th PL NW.) The EMTs were out chipping at ice around the wheels and ended up having to wheel the person down to the end of the street to another ambulance.
Our road got plowed one time during the storm and has had no salt, so (like many others I’m sure), we have a large section that’s just solid ice all the way across. Can’t believe we haven’t had literally any second pass from a plow after 4 days. DC DPW needs to get its act together.
~Coincidentally~ our road got salted within 30 minutes of this incident. I’d like to think it was due to me emailing the ANC commissioner and Ward 4 councilperson, but I’m guessing it’s because they got yelled at by DC Fire and EMS.”

Another reader writes: “It’s been 3+ days since the snow and 17th street in Dupont has yet to be plowed. It’s just a sheet of ice.”
