N. reported to us around 11:30pm last night: “Train tracks and Ivy City maintenance facility is on fire. Diesel tanks on the tracks. At least 10 fire trucks/ambulances flew down New York Ave and it sounds like they sent hazmat trucks too.”

“Update Box Alarm 1400 block W St NE in Amtrak Maintenance Yard. Several large diameter hose lines in operation. Exposed train cars being moved. Putting foam units to work.
Update Box Alarm Amtrak Maintenance Yard. Most fire extinguished. Hazmat checking on diesel runoff. Some train cars damaged by radiant heat. Still working to extinguish pockets of fire. No injuries reported.
