“This week, volunteers from Helmets to Hardhats, along with our Historic Preservation staff, are repairing the benches around the Dupont Circle fountain. Using materials provided by the Dupont Circle Business Improvement District, the work requires care & precision. Thanks to everyone involved!”

Folks have been asking about the bench repair since, at least, November 2023.
The last time we noted new benches were installed was back in 2010.
Earlier today Zach observed: “I guess bench replacement at Dupont Circle = free parking on the sidewalk for Virginia and Maryland drivers?”
