I (5’2” female) was walking Monday night (10/28) around 5:15ish and somewhere between Lost Gen Brewing & V St I was purposefully knocked in the shoulder by a teen on a bike going the opposite direction.
I was all the way over to the right, on the phone with wired headphones and minding my own business. Two teens were riding their bike and came close to me but I initially thought they were passing someone on the other side since that happens frequently. The one closest to me stuck their hand out and knocked my shoulder backwards and kept riding. I realized they weren’t passing anyone and yelled after them but they kept riding.
I am physically totally fine but definitely concerned given recent safety issues along the trail and was wondering if anyone else had similar experiences. I hesitate to make a police report given no injuries, no weapons, no theft, etc. and there’s much bigger fish to fry in this city, but I also don’t want the kids to escalate to actually hurting someone.“
