“Dear PoPville,
Bad crash in Columbia Heights on 13th street between Harvard and Columbia around 2:30am (Monday morning.) Immediate big response from police, followed by several ambulances. Apparently the people in the Free To Go car were speeding and driving recklessly, lost control, hit a parked car, and flipped.
After seeing three people carted off in an ambulance, we briefly spoke to an officer and asked if people were okay. He shook his head and said, and I quote, “Thankfully, God protects babies, drunks and fools”. Hoping they’re okay and also that they never get behind the wheel of a car again.”
Unrelated but also in ‘driving dangerously’ – a reader sends below from Warder Street in Park View:

And Sunday night another reader sends:

“15th and Rhode Island sunday night at 2:30-3:30 AM! I don’t think anyone was hurt, but it was such a loud crash (I think only 2 car involved) it woke us up immediately. They didn’t have the scene cleaned up until 6:30AM – lots of police and emergency vehicles on the scene immediately”
