In anticipation of communication overload, Verizon brought in mobile cell sites on the National Mall to ensure there will not be an outage
such as there was during 9/11 on NYC. Thousands of people will be attending this year’s 4th of July, and one must be prepared for domestic terrorism.
Per Verizon, they have mobile cell sites at each end of the Washington Mall and one in the middle.
