From a press release:
“Duke’s Grocery’s original location in Dupont Circle (1513 17th Street NW) will reopen its doors on Thursday, July 11 at 4:00 p.m.

“We are beyond excited to welcome everyone back and reintroduce them to the renewed Duke’s Dupont”, says Managing Partner, Daniel Kramer. “We have a lot of gratitude for all that made this possible. We thank the team behind the construction, Sanchez Remodeling; //3877 design, and all the engineers that took on this massive project.”

Beyond the new foundation and base building systems, upgrades to the historic building Duke’s Grocery has called home since 2013 include the expansion of the kitchen’s capacity and restaurant hood. This allowed the addition of a deep fryer, so the location will now be able to serve French fries along with the award-winning Proper Burger®, while providing more possibilities and flexibility for Executive Chef Greg Heitzig’s culinary team. Draught beer lines were installed in the East London-inspired gastropub, so more “bevvy” options will be available. “Our team is looking forward to raising a glass or three with our friends, neighbours and guests on Thursday and beyond,” continues Kramer. “It has been a long time coming and we thank everyone for their patience — we promise it was well worth the wait.”

Limited reservations are now live for July 11 and future dates, with walk-ins welcome. Lunch service and Duke’s Grocery’s trademark 12:00-7:00 p.m. happy hour will begin in a week’s time on Thursday, July 18; with brunch service yet to be determined.”
