From MPD:

“July-August
Daily 12:01am – 6:00am

September-June
Fr-Sa 12:01am – 6:00am
Su-Th 11:00 pm – 6:00am

During these hours, you’re breaking curfew if you’re under 17 and you’re in a public space, such as:

The street
The common area in an apartment building
The Metro
The premises of any private business, such as a movie theater, convenience store, or restaurant

Remember! DC’s curfew applies to everyone, including kids who are visiting the city but live elsewhere. Any youth violating curfew will be detained by the Metropolitan Police Department (MPD). Officers will attempt to take the juvenile home or to the home of a relative or other responsible adult. If that is not successful, MPD will bring the youth to Department of Youth Rehabilitation Services (DYRS). DYRS will work to connect with parents for pickup and monitor the youth until they can be reconnected with a parent or guardian.”
