“Jackson-Reed High School 12th grader Maisie Derlega of Washington D.C. is the national Doodle for Google winner! Maisie’s Doodle is live on the Google homepage as of 9:00 am ET today.

Out of tens of thousands of submissions, Maisie’s artwork was selected.
In response to the theme “My wish for the next 25 years…,” Maisie created the attached image titled “Family Dinner.”
Here is a bit about the doodle in her own words:
“Every Sunday night is filled with chaos, laughter, and the smell of food in my household. The standing invitation goes to any friends and family in the area. As my life grows and changes, my wish for the next 25 years is that this tradition remains a constant.”
Maisie’s win was revealed this morning live on the TODAY show in New York.
As the national winner, Maisie will receive a $55,000 college scholarship and a $50,000 technology package for her school. “
