Anyone know what’s going on with Olde City Garden on Rhode Island Ave? I went a couple weekends ago to pick up some supplies only to find it closed without explanation.
Finally found a brief post on their Instagram page from April explaining that they are re-imagining the space and are delaying retail sales ”indefinitely”. Yet their online retail store still appears active.. I called and emailed with no response. If anyone has any intel, I would greatly appreciate it. I have a gift card that I’d like to use.”
On April 5th they posted on their IG:
“Happy Spring everyone!
Due to some changes at Olde City Garden, we have had to delay our opening this season. This has also led us to a “re-imagining” of the space. While we will still be hosting community events, we are going to delay our opening for retail sales indefinitely, with a goal to create a more unique offering for the community in the future.
In the meantime, we have several events upcoming to include some outdoor yoga and an evening of fire dancing with Sunset & Chill later this month on Saturday 4/27.
We hope to see you at one of these events or others to be scheduled, and wish you all a happy and bountiful gardening season!”
