Checking in on the Duke’s Grocery Reopening Date in Dupont (and yes a Julia’s Empanada’s is coming next door!)

1513 17th Street, NW

I’ve been getting lots of emails asking for a Duke’s Grocery update on 17th Street. Here ya go! Update from Duke’s:

“The renovation of our original Duke’s Grocery location on 17th Street NW in Dupont Circle is nearing completion. We’re excited to show everyone what we’ve done with the place! We don’t have a firm reopening date to share at this time, but we hope to reopen in early summer,

and an announcement will be coming when the construction schedule gets more clarity. We cannot wait to welcome everyone back.”

I’ve also been getting tons of messages about the new Julia’s Empanada’s coming next door. Yes, we are excited too!!

Stay tuned on both fronts.

Then, it’s time to dust. Lexi starts with high-touch surface areas (think: refrigerator, dishwasher, counters, microwave). One area she sees often neglected is the bedroom — and it makes sense. Heavy furniture is difficult to move around, but it’s important to really get in there so dust doesn’t affect your sleep.
