“Morgana is closed”

1826 Columbia Road, NW previously home to El Rincon Espanol

Thanks to Eric for passing on the sad news:

“I walked by Morgana and looks like a permanent closure. Website is still up but not taking reservations.”

Google has them as permanently closed too:

“Italian style trattoria and wine bar in the heart of Adams Morgan! We are a friends&family-owned and operated restaurant, committed to bringing the authentic flavors and culture of Italy to the vibrant neighborhood of Adams Morgan. Our menu features a range of classic Italian dishes, from hand-crafted pasta and pizzas to grilled meats and seafood. We also have a carefully curated selection of wines from regions across Italy, including reds, whites, and sparkling varieties. In addition to our delicious food and drinks, we also offer a warm and inviting atmosphere for our guests. Our cozy dining room and outdoor patio are perfect for a romantic dinner or a casual gathering with friends.”

Looks like they also had a to go spot in Western Market (in Foggy Bottom)?!?

Stay tuned.
