“The DC Tool Library is run by volunteers and consists mostly of tools donated by members or the community. The library offers tools to help with construction, gardening, camping, and homesteading.”

I wanted to share with you the sad news that our local DC Tool Library branch at Twin Oaks was recently burglarized several times (escalating over the course of a week) and over $10K worth of tools were stolen. We’re doing a fundraiser now to help raise money to replace the tools and improve security at the building

(it’s a bit worse for wear to say the least, though DPR has allocated funds to improve the building itself, gratefully!). We hope that this is an opportunity to bring folks together and rebuild the library better and stronger than ever.
