“In celebration of Lunar New Year, Union Station will host a mesmerizing performance by the esteemed Chua Martial Arts Lion Dance Troupe. The captivating Lion Dance, deeply rooted in Chinese culture and tradition, will take place in the iconic Main Hall, promising a spirited and celebratory performance for all attendees.
The Lion Dance, dating back to the Tang dynasty (618-907 AD), holds profound cultural significance, symbolizing luck, prosperity, and warding off evil spirits. This cherished tradition not only entertains but also educates about the rich heritage and martial arts prowess associated with the art form. Chua Martial Arts, known for their mastery in this ancient craft, will showcase their skillful execution and pay homage to this time-honored tradition.
