“The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Weather Advisory for the District of Columbia, which is in effect until 7AM Tuesday, January 16, 2024.
WHAT: Snow, Total snow accumulations of 2 to 3 inches.
WHERE: The District of Columbia.
IMPACTS: Plan on slippery road conditions. The hazardous conditions could impact the morning or evening commute.
ADDITIONAL DETAILS: Snow is either ongoing or will begin shortly. A brief lull in the snow may occur late this morning into early this afternoon. Snow will pick back up again from mid-afternoon through tonight.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS: Slow down and use caution while traveling. When venturing outside, watch your first few steps taken on steps, sidewalks, and driveways, which could be icy and slippery, increasing your risk of a fall and injury.”
