“it is a F***ing terrifying noise and so loud”

IMG_9974

“Dear PoPville,

I live up in upper northwest 3900 block of Harrison and I often see foxes at early in the morning, in my yard walking my dog, some are pretty surprisingly big, like 35ish pounds, which can be a little concerning with when walking my very petite golden retriever, she is only 60 pounds. But recently I have been seeing what is clearly

a juvenile fox out in the alley while eating breakfast with my girls. I have also heard so crazy “yelping” late at night, sometimes loud enough to wake me up, often loud enough to compete with concert videos on YouTube. Tonight I super loud so I ran out the deck to record it. See attached video, hoping that maybe your readers can help confirm what this is, it is a Fucking terrifying noise and so loud, we do get big rats and occasional Possum in the Alley, my thought is maybe this is a little fox getting excited about catching a rat or possum. I don’t think it is a possum, the only sound I have ever heard from them is a hiss/growl when taking out the trash…. But this very much sounds Canine to me not Feline, sorry this long, but really want to learn about this”
