“Please join us this Saturday, November 11th from 7-9pm (1909 13th St NW) as we will be co-hosting a screening of the film “This is Home” which follows four Syrian families as they move through the IRC Support system.
The challenges faced by refugees – both during migratory events, and through the resettlement process – are difficult, and highly unique. They are also highly relevant in global society.Participants will also learn more about Temperance Garden and neighborhood history, including Civil War refugee stories from the former site of Camp Barker down the street (now Garrison Elementary).”
