A few weeks ago, a neighbor installed what I call the Eye of Sauron. It has three fixed cameras AND three omnidirectional cameras.
They have a similar post installed on the alley-adjacent corner of their lot with another set of fixed and omnidirectional cameras. We recently had two armed robberies but before that I can’t think of anything that happened in the immediate area that would prompt this kind of response. Where are all of those omnidirectional cameras pointing? What kind of zoom do they have on them? They could easily be pointed into people’s homes. I have a ring doorbell, but this is several orders of magnitude different.”
