Wawa coming back to Columbia Heights? Wait, what?!?

14th and Irving Street, NW

Thanks to T. for sending: “Saw workers peeling back white window coverings to reveal the sign on my morning commute. I’m almost thinking it’s a leftover from wawa days, but they didn’t have “coming soon” signs when they were open

Wawa closed here back in June 2022.

Think Wawa could really be coming back or just an old sign?

Update from another reader:

“I live in that building. I believe that sign is from before the walls went up behind that window and before the outside of the windows were covered up, so an old sign.”

Then, it’s time to dust. Lexi starts with high-touch surface areas (think: refrigerator, dishwasher, counters, microwave). One area she sees often neglected is the bedroom — and it makes sense. Heavy furniture is difficult to move around, but it’s important to really get in there so dust doesn’t affect your sleep.
