A homeowner moved their emergency parking signs around my car overnight, and then called MPD to have me ticketed and towed the next morning to make room for their dumpster. Parking adjudication already overturned the ticket,
but now the city is claiming they’re “not liable” for the $140 it cost me to get my car back from the towing company’s impound lot. They claim my beef is with the homeowner but I’ll have to prove he wrongfully moved his signs, which of course I can’t do because who takes a picture of their car every time they park…
How is the city not liable for repaying my towing expenses after they overturned my ticket? I remember reading something in the news about this years ago but wondering if anyone has had any luck with this…?
