“day after day all we hear are the deafening sounds of large dump trucks, cement trucks, and garbage trucks roaring up the street”

“Dear PoPville,

Any advice for now to contact the developers for the new Wardman Park location in Woodley Park? I live along Harvard St NW in Columbia Heights and for weeks now, day after day all we hear are the deafening sounds of large dump trucks, cement trucks, and garbage trucks roaring up the street, all of which are coming from the Wardman Park redevelopment in Woodley Park.

Several neighbors on our block have complained to each other about this, and would love them to either change their route, or alternate their routes throughout the day to give us a break from time to time, rather than having to listen to the loud trucks and breathe their exhaust all day long. It’s to the point where I can’t even open my windows—it could easily be hundreds of trips a day (I’ve heard about ten of them in the time it’s taken me to write this email).

Any advice or help you can offer would be amazing.”
