From a press release:

“Lincoln Restaurant, a cherished cornerstone of the Washington D.C. dining scene for the past 12 years, is excited to announce its latest venture, White House Sandwiches, a groundbreaking ghost kitchen brand. Having resiliently navigated the challenges of COVID-19, Lincoln remains committed to offering a unique dining experience at its flagship location on 1110 Vermont Avenue, NW. Under the inspired stewardship of Owner and Proprietor, Alan Popovsky, the restaurant is venturing into the burgeoning landscape of ghost kitchens, augmenting its culinary reach to patrons beyond its physical premises.

“Jackies Short Rib Delight”

“Drawing from my Philadelphia and Southern New Jersey roots, where the tradition of handcrafted sandwiches, subs, hoagies, and cheesesteaks thrives, we aim to bring these cherished culinary delights to D.C.,” shares Popovsky. “White House Sandwiches is our tribute to these timeless food traditions, designed to seamlessly complement D.C.’s vibrant dining culture.”

Operational from Tuesday through Sunday during regular restaurant hours, White House Sandwiches will offer its mouthwatering selections from the Lincoln Restaurant’s kitchen. With an initial weekly production target of 250 sandwiches, the brand is fully equipped to cater to the promising and largely untapped demand in this segment. Customers can order for pickup or delivery through UberEats, Doordash, or the White House Sandwiches website.

“With the accessibility of a ghost kitchen and our steadfast commitment to quality and tradition, White House Sandwiches is poised to enrich the culinary tapestry of D.C.,” Popovsky adds.
