Went for dinner in Shaw, and a 5% “service charge” was added into the bill. When we asked about it, the server told us that it was not “service” because this was not shared with the staff, so we should tip the full 20%. I then talked to the manager who said:
“this is to offset the cost of the minimum wage. You all voted for that and now you are all complaining”.
