Not a question I ever thought I’d see… All those snakes, hawks, foxes, owls etc. must be working overtime?

Where did the rats go this summer?
I live next to Kalorama Park (where I am a park volunteer for 30 years now). I walk 3 1/2 miles a day in & around Adams Morgan & have seen virtually ZERO rats.
Last summer @ this time, AM was overrun with rats (every night you could hear & see them). There were hundreds & hundreds of them over the summer until late fall came. This year? 3 or 4 dead ones & 1 or 2 live ones.
I know nature can take sudden turns but what caused the tremendous drop?
It wasn’t city mitigation efforts.”
