From Metro Transit Police:
“MTPD and @DCPoliceDept on scene of shooting at Fort Totten Stn shortly before 11 p.m. Victims: male teenager and adult male transported w/possible life-threatening injuries. Due to investigation station to remain closed through end of service.
Preliminarily, it appears the victims were fighting over a gun when it went off. A special police officer also returned fire after being shot at by the suspect. @DCPoliceDept will be lead as is standard for shootings involving special police.”

“Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority reports the police activity has cleared and normal train service has resumed at the Fort Totten Metro Station.”
