From a press release:
“Like something out of “Mad Men’, two classic fiberglass boats, circa 1958-1963, have been repurposed by Sea Suite Cruises, the DC-based party boat company, and are setting sail from The Wharf. The little party boats are the latest brainchild of Jack Maher and Jack Walten, co-founders of Sea Suite, the same guys who brought the Potomac Paddle Club Boats and Tiki Boats to DC.
With fanciful fins and headlights, retro-cool colors and chrome detailing, the mid-century beauties are fitted with electric motors to make them 2023-compliant and energy efficient.

Named “Gladys” and “Violet” the four-seater boats may be rented for 1-1/2 hour jaunts in the Washington Channel. Renters may bring their own food and beverages with the only contingency is that the captain may not imbibe alcoholic beverages.
Boats are available to rent seven days with pricing set at $175, Monday through Thursday and $225 Friday through Sunday.”
