I’m in the process of renting out my space to a tenant that uses the DCHA voucher program. The tenant-to-be seems great, is doing all the paperwork on their end, and is ready to move in ASAP. The problem here is DCHA. We submitted the appropriate paperwork well over a month ago and to say they are moving slow is an understatement. They are taking days, if not weeks, to reply to us with really no movement towards approval.
Does anyone have experience with this or words of advice? We are eager to get the tenant in and the tenant is on top of everything and ready to go! So what’s the hold up?“
