Dead goose rotting in Francis Field (1255 25th St, NW) for over two weeks. I have called animal control and put in service requests at DPR and DC 311. They say they will “take care of it” yet it is a huge field and no one bothered to ask the location of the animal or take down my contact info so I can show them. Sports teams and young children ages 3-5 play in this field daily.
I had to take matters into my own hands and place as many logs/branches as I could around it to act as a barrier. The goose is on the left side of the field (parallel with M St.) in the bamboo bushes. It is not inaccessible and would be easy to pick up. Really disappointing.”
