“Dear PoPville,
On Sunday morning (4/23) at around 10:30am, my boyfriend was riding his blue scooter/moped at Florida NW/S St NW/Connecticut Ave NW when a car blew through the intersection, hit the scooter in the back, sending him rolling off the moped. The car didn’t slow down and accelerated away.
Several people rushed over and helped out (calling an ambulance, blocking traffic while he laid in the road, rolling the moped). Thanks to their kindness, he was able to get to the hospital and get treatment.
Because the car drove off, we have to rely on witnesses who saw the accident. Could you ask if anyone was a witness to this and could provide me with some details?”
