From the Humane Rescue Alliance:
“Washingtonians come together in times of crisis, and right now the Humane Rescue Alliance needs our community’s help.
Last week we took in 90 dogs, but only 17 were adopted. It’s an unsustainable equation, so if you have been considering adoption, then now is the time. We are discounting adoption fees 50% (typically $150 – $250) for all dogs today through Sunday.
We are open for walk-in adoptions Tuesday – Sunday from 12 – 7 p.m. at both our 71 Oglethorpe St. NW and 1201 New York Ave. NE locations.
To see the more than 100 dogs who are available for adoption, visit www.humanerescuealliance.org/adopt.
For those who can’t adopt, folks can still help by signing up to temporarily foster an animal online or in person at either location.
We would be appreciative if you could help us spread the word.”
