From a press release:

“CiNoMatic, NoMa’s free outdoor movie series at Alethia Tanner Park, is returning for its fourth season this spring. Every Wednesday night from May 3 through May 31, the NoMa Business Improvement District (BID) will show free movies under the stars.

The theme for the spring 2023 season is “Villains We Love.” The scheduled movie series features a diverse lineup of thrillers with scene-stealing, love-to-hate ‘em, bad guys:

May 3: Devil Wears Prada

May 10: Black Panther

May 17: Hook

May 24: Men In Black

May 31: Cruella

“CiNoMatic is one of the NoMa BID’s most popular event offerings, and is one of DC’s best outdoor movie experiences,” said Maura Brophy, President & CEO of the NoMa BID. “Our giant screen armature and built-in surround sound system combined with the expansive lawn at Alethia Tanner Park deliver an outdoor movie experience like no other in the city. We invite everyone to come join us on Wednesdays in May to enjoy the series. Thanks to all who voted on this spring’s movie list and helped select this fun, thrilling lineup.”

The spring 2023 CiNoMatic lineup was determined through a community vote in March 2023, with nearly 1,800 people participating. The selected movies feature a diverse array of villains, heroes, and heroines, and are all rated either PG or PG-13.

CiNoMatic movies begin at sunset, with seating on the lawn at Alethia Tanner Park opening one hour prior to showtime. Guests are encouraged to arrive early, as seating is first come, first served. Movie-goers are encouraged to bring their own blankets, chairs, and picnic dinners (NoMa restaurants are open for takeout). Food and drinks will also be available for purchase from local food truck partners. Dogs on-leash are welcome.”

Finding a gift for moms can be difficult. Google “Mother’s Day gifts,” and you’ll scroll through endless lists of beauty products, candles and fuzzy robes. Sure, those are sweet, but sometimes it’s fun to surprise loved ones with something a little more, well, practical!

Here’s one idea: Give her a gift certificate for a home cleaning from Well-Paid Maids. It’s the perfect “thank you,” “I love you” or “you’ve got this” for any mom. She can schedule the home cleaning at her convenience and breathe easy knowing she has one less thing to do.

Our cleaners will take care of everything, including vacuuming and mopping as well as cleaning and dusting countertops, tables, mirrors, appliances and more. Sinks, toilets, showers and appliance exteriors also get a good scrub.
