“FANGYÁN, the high-end clothing brand inspired by Asian culture, will open first Washington, DC storefront”

1057 Wisconsin Avenue, NW

From a press release:

“FANGYÁN, the high-end clothing brand inspired by Asian culture, announced today it will open its first Washington, DC storefront in Georgetown at 1057 Wisconsin Avenue NW in late Spring 2023. The DC-based clothing brand signed a five-year lease for the 1,492-square-foot space with EastBanc, a leading real estate developer, after experimenting in the Georgetown market at EastBanc’s retail incubator, Concept 31/M.

Once it opens its doors, FANGYÁN’s Georgetown store will feature collections from more than 15 Asian designers and labels such as Mukzin, ZI II CI IEN and Fansilanen, in addition to its own brand of silk, wool and cashmere styles including, outerwear, swimwear, dresses and more. The store’s design will feature traditional Hui Style architectural elements known for exquisite craftsmanship, elegance and rich cultural connotations, drawing inspiration from intricate wood carvings and black and white walls to create a sense of modernity. FANGYÁN Georgetown will be a multifunctional space for exhibitions and events such as fashion shows and forums. Customers will be able shop alongside top designers and fashion insiders who will offer FANGYÁN customers personalized recommendations and services.

“For FANGYÁN, opening our first Washington, D.C. store in a prestigious commercial district like Georgetown is a big opportunity for us to not only connect with new customers, but also to showcase our Asian culture and Eastern aesthetics,” said Simin Zhu, owner of FANGYÁN. “We’ve always taken pride in showcasing FANGYÁN’s unique Eastern culture and creating cross-cultural experiences through fashion. We believe in the power of “wear to storytelling” and we look forward to helping our shoppers express themselves and their experiences with FANGYÁN designs.”

Each brand available at FANGYÁN has its own unique personality and style. Mukzin and ZI IICI IEN have distinct design languages and attitudes, while Fansilanen and Lindong are designed specifically for professional women, with clean and simple styles suitable for office settings. XUNRUO and Since Then specialize in dresses and small gowns, with romantic and elegant styles or practical and minimalist designs.

FANGYÁN’s Georgetown store marks the brand’s first official Washington, D.C. storefront, in addition to its locations in Gaithersburg and at Westfield Montgomery Mall. FANGYÁN was previously a pop-up retailer at EastBanc’s Concept 31/M, a dynamic, experiential store that gave small and locally-owned businesses a platform to test the Georgetown market during the pandemic. Through its success at Concept 31/M, FANGYÁN continued to work closely with EastBanc to find the ideal space for its brick-and-mortar expansion.

“When we first opened Concept 31/M in the height of the pandemic, our goal was to create a place where brands of varying sizes could easily experiment with brick-and-mortar retail,” said Philippe Lanier, Principal at EastBanc. “We enjoyed working with the FANGYÁN team during their time at Concept 31/M and are proud to support them as they expand into their own retail space in Georgetown.”

FANGYÁN joins EastBanc’s growing portfolio of innovative and high-end retailers, following an exceptional year of new leases and store openings in Georgetown including Wolford, NAADAM, and more. EastBanc is committed to Geogetown’s continued success and has driven some of the most innovative, in-demand retailers to the neighborhood as the majority landowner of the shopping district’s retail properties.”

For many remote workers, a messy home is distracting.

You’re getting pulled into meetings, and your unread emails keep ticking up. But you can’t focus because pet hair tumbleweeds keep floating across the floor, your desk has a fine layer of dust and you keep your video off in meetings so no one sees the chaos behind you.

It’s no secret a dirty home is distracting and even adds stress to your life. And who has the energy to clean after work? That’s why it’s smart to enlist the help of professionals, like Well-Paid Maids.
