Located downtown at 1875 I St NW, The Square is a chef-driven food market destination where cuisine, culture and community are woven together. Spearheaded by Richie Brandenburg and Rubén Garcia, The Square is slated to open in June 2023 within International Square – a 1.1 million square-foot complex occupying nearly a full city block in the heart of Washington, D.C.

Please find the full list of concepts below:

Cashion’s Rendezvous [Ann Cashion, John Fulchino] – Oysters, crab cakes, and strong drinks. The Eat Place and Half Shell legacy lives on in Ann Cashion and John Fulchino’s latest venture.

Cebicheria Chalaca [Carlos Delgado] – Acclaimed Chef Carlos Delgado’s very own Cebicheria. An homage to his hometown of Lima, featuring Peruvian cuisine alongside a full cocktail program from Glendon Hartley (formerly of Service Bar).

KIYOMI Sushi by Uchi [Chef Masaaki Uchino] – Classic sushi alongside creative touches featuring caviar, wagyu and truffles. Chef Masaaki “Uchi” Uchino steps out of the Nakazawa kitchen to roll out a more casual restaurant all his own.

Shoals Market – Shoals Market is a celebration of D.C.’s uniquely global, social dining scene. As the retail hub of The Square, guests will have exclusive access to limited allocation spirits, artisanal products and rare culinary finds that are either crafted or inspired by the food market’s chef partners.
