Thanks to Austin for sending. The liquor license placard for Minetta Tavern DC says:

The Licensee is also requesting the Alcohol Carry – Out and Delivery Endorsement, Extended Holiday Hours, and an Entertainment Endorsement to provide live entertainment inside of the premises.”

“MINETTA TAVERN IN DC!

Three days ago, I signed a Letter Of Intent on a two storey building in Washington DC. I plan to build a Minetta Tavern there.

This beautiful corner building is in the most diverse, and least corporate district of DC – Union Market. It reminds me a lot of Manhattan’s Meatpacking District 20 years ago.

Laurent Kalkotour, the chef of New York’s Minetta, will be my partner in the new project, as will be my long term ally and Director of Operations, Roberta Delice.

The new Minetta Tavern will have a similar menu to New York, but not identical. The look and the feel of the DC restaurant will be the same, if not better. DC’s Minneta will also have a sensational private dining room and a secret roof bar.

See you there in 18 months!”

STAY TUNED.
