Casa Kantuta’s cherry blossom pop-up menu Now-April 16

“Casa Kantuta celebrates DC’s cherry blossom season from March 21- April 16 with a pop-up menu inspired by the gorgeous flowers.

In addition to Casa Kantuta’s regular signature cocktails, guests can enjoy 3 new cherry blossom-themed cocktails with a South American twist:

– Nikkei Group, made with Little Sumo Sake, Singani 63, Oka Kura Yuzu Liqueur, St. Germain, lemon, cranberry simple syrup and topped with sparkling water and pink foam is named after the first Japanese immigrants in Bolivia.

– Okinawa Uno is the name of the town where much of the Japanese population lives in Santa Cruz, Bolivia and the inspiration behind this cocktail which includes Singani, Awai 44 Japanese Whiskey, Bermutto Sake Vermouth, Campari, strawberry jam syrup, lemon, and egg white.

-Kasato Maru, a drink mixed with Little Sumo Sake, Bermutto Sake Vermouth, Singani 63, lemon and topped with ginger ale, is named after the boat that carried the Nikkei Group to South America.

Casa Kantuta will be transformed into a cherry blossom garden for the duration of the seasonal pop-up. And for the first time, they’ll launch their micro patio, located by the bar’s entrance that will be decorated in cherry blossom adornments, too. The micro patio can host up to 6 guests and arrives just in time for spring. Once cherry blossom season is over, the patio will take on other seasonal decor.”
