“With roots in the Mediterranean, taim is joining DC-area volunteers to bring local and global support to those affected by the Turkey-Syria earthquake. On Saturday, February 18 and Sunday, February 19, 2023, taim mediterranean kitchen will be working with the Turkish Embassy to collect top-needed supplies at its restaurants in Dupont Circle and College Park, Maryland. In exchange, taim will provide each donor a card immediately redeemable for a free entree.
When:
ALL DAY on Saturday, February 18 and Sunday, February 19, 2023
11:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. ET
What:
Anyone who brings in a donation of needed supplies (see list below from the Turkish Embassy) will get a coupon for a FREE ENTREE (one card per donor) which they can use immediately or on a future visit. Top-needed items for donation include:
Blankets
Tents
Sleeping bags
Pocket warmers
Winter clothing (jackets, gloves, headgear)
Over-the-counter medications for flu, cold and pain killers
