This bridge is located on Rock Creek Trail down the steep hill from Shoreham Drive (Near Connecticut Avenue and Calvert Street) heading south past the recreational area. It appears that a vehicle may have been on the trail at speed and was unable to negotiate the turn thus
crashing through the wooden railing. So, right now, there is an open area on the bridge to the creek below but no signs of the wreckage.”
