Last Christmas Tree in Town – Doing Good Work While it Waits and The VERY last Christmas card in town of 2021

Thanks to Ana for sending: “Last Christmas tree of 2022 for a cause. Shoutout to whoever covered up this gaping hole in Bloomingdale. Your clumsy neighbor thanks you.”

Thanks to John for sending:

“My mother mailed the card pictured below from North Carolina to my son here in DC, with his Christmas check enclosed, on Dec. 4, 2021. We never got it. My mother long ago cancelled the check.

Today, more than 14 months later,

it landed back in her mailbox in North Carolina. Along the way, it was marked undeliverable and “return to sender” twice .. once in March 2022 and then again this month .. even though it was addressed correctly.

Unfortunately, my son had something similar happen to him this most recent Christmas also: A gift from his uncle and aunt was either lost in transit or stolen from our front porch.”

Last Christmas Tree in Town is brought to you by the Friends of the White Whale Society.
