King Cakes To-Go Orders

Dauphine’s is offering King Cake to-go orders leading up to Mardi Gras on February 21. All boxes will include the selected King Cake, Mardi Gras beads, and a commemorative feve made by local artist Material Things. The remaining pick-up days and offerings include:

February 16-18: Bananas Foster + Classic Minis
February 20-21: Bananas Foster + Classic Minis & Full Size

Mini King Cakes are $25 each and can feed 4-10 people.
Full-sized King Cakes are $50 each and can feed 15-20 people.

Orders can be placed online at www.dauphinesdc.com under the ‘Dauphine’s at Home’ tab. Orders must be placed two days prior to pick up.

Mardi Gras Party – Sunday, February 19

Join Dauphine’s for a celebration to send the Mardi Gras season off! Tickets are available now and are $165 for general admission or $200 for VIP entry at 6 pm with early access. Tickets include an open bar, food stations, entertainment, and more! Proceeds from Mardi Gras at Dauphine’s will directly benefit Freshfarm – a nonprofit based in Washington, DC, that is dedicated to creating a more resilient, equitable, and sustainable food future. This year’s theme is Let them eat cake! Costumes, cocktail attire, and festive colors are encouraged.

Lundi Gras Jazz Brunch – Monday, February 20

To celebrate Lundi Gras and the President’s Day holiday, Dauphine’s will be offering a festive jazz brunch. Dauphine’s jazz trio, The Hot Mess, will play jazz classics this Monday, February 20, from 11:00 am-2:30 pm during brunch. Reservations are available via OpenTable.

Fat Tuesday – Tuesday, February 21

Come celebrate Mardi Gras on its final day! Dauphine’s will be offering lunch, happy hour, and dinner specials along with their regular menus. Custom beads will be available, and Crush Funk Brass will be performing. Reservations are available via OpenTable.”

Potomac Harmony is Back! Following a gap year of competing, then virtual rehearsals during the pandemic, followed by the well-earned retirement of our long-term director, a year of a director search, Potomac Harmony hit the regional contest stage in Concord, North Carolina in March for the first time since 2018! It was exhilarating, reaffirming, and rewarding!

The chorus hit all of its goals, the biggest of which was to have fun and sing our best on contest stage — we did both! Because we earned a score over 400 points, our new Director, Allison Lynskey, was awarded the Novice Director award, photo above. Additionally, one of our charter members, Jackie Bottash, was nominated for and honored with the Leadership Excellence award. It was a celebratory weekend!

What’s next? So much! We now look forward to upcoming performances, growing our membership, and expanding our musical product with new arrangements and an education component each week. It’s an exciting time to be part of this ever-growing ensemble!
