Update: “The initial communication told us to leave early based on the US Marshals Service recommendation, but apparently it was based on the recommendation of one local US Marshals Service office in California.”

FYI, my federal agency just sent the following email:
“Please be advised that the US Marshals Service is recommending that federal employees evacuate from federal facilities today no later than 3 PM Eastern time (or your equivalent local time).”
