My condo association has been trying to purchase a bike rack in order to comply with a DC city ordinance that resident buildings with more than 8 units require permanent bike storage. The rules are fairly strict, but our residents are also really eager to have safe bike storage.
We don’t have enough space inside our building, so we are looking for a covered option out back. So far, our property management company has been unable to provide any quotes for work that offers a few sturdy and covered bike racks. Has anyone installed this type of storage for your building? What did it cost and who were your contractors?
We are looking for something as affordable as possible for only 4-8 bikes.”
