“Earlier this month, a subject was frequenting the 1900 block of 14th Street, NW breaking windows. He then proceeded to break a window of a Metrobus on U Street and steal some items that were inside.
It was at this point, a Metro Transit Police officer saw the suspect and promptly arrested him. Third District Detectives were then able to link the same subject to the destroyed windows on 14th Street, and were able to charge him with seven additional counts to include an unlawful entry and a burglary charge. Continue to call 911 if you see or hear anything suspicious along 14th Street or anywhere else.”
