Where will you be watching the World Cup?

2003 18th Street, NW

Emir asks: “Hi PoPville! Where to watch the World Cup in DC?”

1734 Connecticut Ave, NW

In my opinion, this is neighborhood related. I’m sure every bar with a TV will be showing the cup. Bars are allowed to stay open late/early for the games so you’ll have tons of options. There will be some spots that show more than others like Wundergarten in NoMa. I know Teddy & LINCOLN Restaurants also plan on showing lots of games as will the new Mario’s Trattoria in Glover Park. I know The Artemis in Columbia Heights will be showing lots of games as I’m sure Lou’s City Bar will as well. Blackfinn DC downtown will be showing lots of games. Across the Pond (photo above) and Duffy’s in Dupont. It’s all the usual suspects, The Queen Vic and Biegrarten Haus on H Street – Solly’s on U Street – The Brig at the bottom of Barracks Row – Nanny’s in Cleveland Park (see you there!)

One event of note that will likely be super fun: “US v Wales World Cup match in Dupont Circle Park on Mon, Nov. 21st

We’re about a month out from summer. That means you’ve still got time for spring cleaning!

Lexi Grant, an operations manager at Well-Paid Maids, shared her go-to spring cleaning tips with WTOP News. Step one? Declutter. Get rid of items you don’t use, find space for items that need a home and organize those areas.

Then, it’s time to dust. Lexi starts with high-touch surface areas (think: refrigerator, dishwasher, counters, microwave). One area she sees often neglected is the bedroom — and it makes sense. Heavy furniture is difficult to move around, but it’s important to really get in there so dust doesn’t affect your sleep.
