“Wedding Album Recommendations”

“Dear PoPville,

We had a local photographer take photos for our wedding and were pleased with how they turned out. Unfortunately, she put together our wedding album and inexplicably shipped it to our apartment without letting us know in advance and without any insurance on it,

and lo and behold we never received it (even though it said it was delivered); packages get stolen or misdelivered somewhat regularly these days). Because of supply chain issues, it was really delayed getting to us post wedding, and then because I didn’t realize it was stolen, I was delayed reaching out to her, so the whole thing is a big mess. Additionally, she decided to make it seem like it was our fault we didn’t receive our precious package and wants to charge us again to make it.

Since it seems like we’re going to have to pay for it again anyway, can someone recommend someone locally that puts together wedding albums? We have links to all the pictures. We’d love to work with someone more professional and possibly even pick it up in-person.”

Potomac Harmony is Back! Following a gap year of competing, then virtual rehearsals during the pandemic, followed by the well-earned retirement of our long-term director, a year of a director search, Potomac Harmony hit the regional contest stage in Concord, North Carolina in March for the first time since 2018! It was exhilarating, reaffirming, and rewarding!

The chorus hit all of its goals, the biggest of which was to have fun and sing our best on contest stage — we did both! Because we earned a score over 400 points, our new Director, Allison Lynskey, was awarded the Novice Director award, photo above. Additionally, one of our charter members, Jackie Bottash, was nominated for and honored with the Leadership Excellence award. It was a celebratory weekend!

What’s next? So much! We now look forward to upcoming performances, growing our membership, and expanding our musical product with new arrangements and an education component each week. It’s an exciting time to be part of this ever-growing ensemble!
