From an email:

“It’s back! After a delay due to Hurricane Ian, everyone’s favorite neighborhood festival, the Takoma Park Street Festival, will take place this Sunday, October 23rd from 10:00am – 5:00 pm on Carroll Avenue in Takoma Park. The festival will fill the streets with music, vendors, great food and fun.

NEW The music schedule has been updated to include National Heritage Award Winner and blues harmonica virtuoso, Phil Wiggins, accompanied by tapper Baakari Wilder, to kick off the Columbia Avenue Stage at 11:00am. There are three stages with 19 performances throughout the day with something for everyone.

Local artists and makers selling jewelry, textiles, personal care items, cards and posters, mixed media, and much more have lots of great options for visitors to get a head start on holiday shopping. Community groups and green companies will be sharing info and Takoma businesses will be greeting people from the street or their storefronts. Updated vendor line up is on the website.

So many great food options at the festival! Pho Wheels, Charlie’s Empanadas, Catalyst Hot Dogs, Nothing Bundt Cakes, Sherri’s Crab Cakes, Philly Pretzel, Kona Ice and more are joined by local favorites Soko Butcher, Kin Da, Takoma Station Wingery and Lost Sock Roasters in the food court. Takoma restaurants on the festival route are open throughout the day including Cielo Rojo, Takoma Bev Co, Mark’s Kitchen, The Olive Lounge, Roscoe’s Pizzeria, Dolci Gelati, Trattoria Da Lina, Carpe Diem Pizzeria, Gusto Gelateria and The Girl and the Vine.

For many remote workers, a messy home is distracting.

You’re getting pulled into meetings, and your unread emails keep ticking up. But you can’t focus because pet hair tumbleweeds keep floating across the floor, your desk has a fine layer of dust and you keep your video off in meetings so no one sees the chaos behind you.

It’s no secret a dirty home is distracting and even adds stress to your life. And who has the energy to clean after work? That’s why it’s smart to enlist the help of professionals, like Well-Paid Maids.
