“Dear PoPville,
We purchased a home earlier this year with an old oil boiler that we planned to replace immediately. For a variety of reasons (the fact that the previous owner filled up the oil tank between inspection and closing, waiting for IRA energy efficiency rebates to become available next year, other priority house projects, etc.) we’ve decided to wait to make the upgrade.
We have two questions:
What recommendations do you have for technicians to service the boiler? We would like to service it before turning it on this season (though it worked great for the few days we used it last spring). We’ve called a few companies that said they only service gas boilers but don’t do oil.
What recommendations do you have for oil delivery services? We’ve started getting in touch with some, including the company the previous owner used, but were hoping that the PoPville community had some experience to share.”
