“Issues with USPS” Cont.

“Dear PoPville,

I saw the lost ashes post and thought I would add this:

Twice in the past week my packages were “delivered to reception,” but after searching everywhere possible, my concierge maintains that my building never received those packages. One of those instances was through USPS and I suspect the other was as well (USPS has messed up my deliveries several times over the past couple of years).

After ranting about this with my boyfriend, he realized we have also not received mail in quite a while. Today, he waited for the mail person to finish putting away the mail and tried to catch them on the way out to ask about this -but she blew him off and told him she didn’t have time.
According to our concierge, A LOT of people have been complaining about not receiving mail and packages. We plan to call the Postal Inspection Service.

It would be one thing if packages were just not being delivered and were sitting in the facility, but why are packages being marked as “delivered” as if they are being delivered and accepted elsewhere (much like with the story about the ashes)? Wondering how many other people are dealing with this, specifically with packages?”

Potomac Harmony is Back! Following a gap year of competing, then virtual rehearsals during the pandemic, followed by the well-earned retirement of our long-term director, a year of a director search, Potomac Harmony hit the regional contest stage in Concord, North Carolina in March for the first time since 2018! It was exhilarating, reaffirming, and rewarding!

The chorus hit all of its goals, the biggest of which was to have fun and sing our best on contest stage — we did both! Because we earned a score over 400 points, our new Director, Allison Lynskey, was awarded the Novice Director award, photo above. Additionally, one of our charter members, Jackie Bottash, was nominated for and honored with the Leadership Excellence award. It was a celebratory weekend!

What’s next? So much! We now look forward to upcoming performances, growing our membership, and expanding our musical product with new arrangements and an education component each week. It’s an exciting time to be part of this ever-growing ensemble!
