From a press release:

“Michelin-starred chef and television personality, Gordon Ramsay, is pleased to announce Fish & Chips – his playful, fast-casual eatery offering classic British food – opens today at 665 Wharf St SW. Located at The Wharf, the buzzy mile-long waterfront destination, Fish & Chips is the first of Ramsay’s three restaurants slated to open in the Nation’s Capital over the coming months.

“It’s no secret that D.C. is home to some of America’s best restaurants and chefs, and I couldn’t be more thrilled to add to this vibrant community,” says Gordon Ramsay. “Fish & Chips is an important dish to me for many reasons – but most importantly because it reminds me of my upbringing, and is a nostalgic taste of home wherever I am.”

Fish & Chips offers a menu of authentic, take-away-style British Fish & Chips, chicken, and shrimp, along with Ramsay’s signature Sticky Toffee and Biscoff shakes.

Made with sustainable True Cod and coated with custard powder batter for the perfect golden crisp, the fish is a menu standout. The chips are served “natural” with sea salt or “dirty” with truffle, parmesan and chives; chipotle, jalapeño and crisp chorizo; or bacon, cheddar cheese, green onions and sour cream. Alternatives like marinated shrimp with basil and lavender or chicken and chips are also available, as well as seasonal specials.

In addition to fish and chips, the restaurant serves signature specialties like fried shrimp, chicken, and a signature “Fishwich.” To accompany the dishes, sauces like Gordon’s tartar, curry and mango, sriracha aioli, southwest ranch, Dijon mayonnaise and cocktail sauce are featured. For a sweet finish, guests can choose from two delicious shakes – Sticky Toffee and Biscoff. A selection of beer and wine is also available.

The 2,248-square-foot restaurant has a seating capacity of 35, along with a beautiful outdoor patio overlooking the Potomac River. The color scheme is reflective of Union Jack, with blue and red touches throughout. The iconic red telephone box also serves as the restaurant’s entrance and exit.

Fish & Chips is located at 665 Wharf St SW and does not accept reservations. The restaurant is open from 11AM to 10PM Sunday-Thursday, and 11AM to 11PM Friday-Saturday.”

We’re about a month out from summer. That means you’ve still got time for spring cleaning!

Lexi Grant, an operations manager at Well-Paid Maids, shared her go-to spring cleaning tips with WTOP News. Step one? Declutter. Get rid of items you don’t use, find space for items that need a home and organize those areas.

Then, it’s time to dust. Lexi starts with high-touch surface areas (think: refrigerator, dishwasher, counters, microwave). One area she sees often neglected is the bedroom — and it makes sense. Heavy furniture is difficult to move around, but it’s important to really get in there so dust doesn’t affect your sleep.
